There was a time in the ’70s when a moped business called Famel was ruling the roads of Portugal. Enjoyable, easy-to-ride 50cc mopeds with active five-speed transmissions were popular at that time. Nevertheless, by the ’90s, with the increase of European makers going into the battle royal, Famel quickly declared bankruptcy.
