Neousys Technology has introduced the POC-900, an ultra-compact DIN-rail embedded computer utilizing the AMD Ryzen PRO 8640U processor and an integrated Ryzen AI NPU.
The new system represents a major leap in processing power, offering up to 2.7 times the CPU performance of its predecessor. By incorporating a dedicated Ryzen AI NPU, the device facilitates on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) inference, which is essential for low-latency processing in workloads such as machine vision, industrial control, and edge computing.
Designed for reliability in demanding environments, the POC-900 supports fanless operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 70°C when configured with a 15W TDP. For high-performance requirements, an optional fan kit is available that allows the processor to operate at up to 30W TDP while maintaining stability in industrial settings.
The hardware is engineered for seamless integration into existing infrastructure. It maintains the same 64 x 116 x 176 mm dimensions as the previous generation, serving as a direct drop-in replacement for current deployments. Its fanless, space-efficient form factor is specifically optimized for installation within control cabinets, ensuring continuous operation with minimal maintenance.
Connectivity options are extensive for a device of its size. The POC-900 includes four PoE+ GbE Ethernet ports, four USB 3.2 ports, and isolated digital I/O for direct communication with sensors, cameras, and other industrial equipment. Furthermore, the system utilizes the proprietary MezIO expansion interface. This modular approach allows users to add functions such as ignition control or additional LAN, USB, COM, and DIO ports, providing a flexible configuration for mobile robotics and factory inspection systems.
