At the recent 2025 Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg, RECARO Aircraft Seating presented its ingenious eVTOL seating solution together with Eve Air Mobility.
“Utilizing lightweight materials, such as high-grade aluminum, titanium, and composite materials, the seat maintains minimal weight, enabling energy-efficient flight operations,” said the company in a press release.
“Eve Air Mobility and RECARO combined their expertise to develop lightweight, ergonomic seating that can support the distinct needs of eVTOL flights. The urban air mobility industry introduces a new range of engineering challenges, including seating,” said Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve. “This means aligning with partners who embrace reengineering aircraft from the ground up. Through our collaboration with RECARO, we’ve found new and inventive ways to make aircraft seating light enough for electric urban flights without sacrificing the in-cabin experience.”
