I ask to vary with Peter Bradshaw’s sight that “no mainstream movie is striking Donald Trump’s management head-on” (The Golden Globes ceremony ignored politics. But their big winner taps today’s unhappy turbulence, 12 December). We took our 2 granddaughters to see Zootropolis 2, in which a varied set of investigators (a fox and a bunny) tackled an egotistical leader, showing the relevance and happiness of all pointsDEI Well done, Disney!

• I was distressed to check out that Martin Pot’s column today will certainly be his last (The world of today looks bad, but take hope: we’ve been here before and got through it – and we will again, 15 January). We will miss out on his dazzling prose, wise political evaluation and strong intelligence. With his separation, journalism will certainly have shed a titan.
