Boeing’s Starliner started making a repeating ‘pulsing’ sound yesterday

United States astronaut Barry Wilmore called NASA landing crew on Saturday, requesting for aid with a repeated knocking noise that was originating from the Boeing Starliner craft. The communication was caught by a NASA Area Trip online forum participant, that consisted of a recording of it in a post that was spotted by Ars Technica.

In the recording, Wilmore asks NASA team in Houston to configure their phone call to ensure that he can reveal them the sound, which he states is originating from the audio speaker inside Starliner. After that, a repeated clanging noise with mild there’s-something-on-the-wing feelings can be listened to. The Earthside team participant explains it as seeming “virtually like a finder ping.”
