General Purpose Robots Should Not Be Weaponized — Agility Robotics

A coalition of robotics companies, including Agility Robotics, ANYbotics, Boston Dynamics, Clearpath Robotics, Originate Robotics and Unitree Robotics, this day launched the next letter:

An Originate Letter to the Robotics Alternate and our Communities,

We are some of the arena’s leading companies devoted to introducing unusual generations of developed cell robotics to society. These unusual generations of robots are extra accessible, more uncomplicated to operate, extra independent, practical, and adaptable than previous generations, and in a position to navigating into areas previously inaccessible to automatic or remotely-managed applied sciences. We assume that developed cell robots will present immense benefit to society as co-workers in industry and companions in our homes.

As with every unusual skills offering unusual capabilities, the emergence of developed cell robots gives the possibility of misuse.
