Giving drones wrap-and-grip wings to allow them to land on poles and tree limbs

A group of designers and roboticists at EPFL in Switzerland has actually made and developed a moving drone that can utilize its wings as a gripping device to perch on an upright things. In their task, reported in the journal Communications Design, the team developed a drone influenced by pets such as bats that can come down on upright posts and tree arm or legs.
