In a Linkedin post Yves Yemsi, Chief Operating Officer at Lilium, has announced he is stepping down from his role in the company.
“Having served Lilium during five intense and amazing years, it is with a mix of emotions that I decided to step down from my role of COO; as I will leave Lilium in the near future and will start a new exciting challenge,” he said. “I am deeply grateful for all the support I received from all the teams in Operations, for the strong teamwork with my peers, and the productive collaboration with all our amazing suppliers.”
“It has been an honor to lead such a talented group of individuals who are committed to make radical innovation possible with rigor and passion. Together we were able to establish strategic partnerships with leading Aerospace suppliers, prepare the application for a Production Organization Approval, build over 100000 sq ft of production facilities, establish a resilient and scalable IT infrastructure, start production of the Lilium Jet and engage in discussions with the French government aiming at expanding industrial footprint in France.
“While I had taken this personal decision a while ago, I have continued to work with the leadership team at Lilium to support the restructuring of the company and my leadership transition, and I am hopeful that we will soon see Lilium jets in the skies!
I am now looking forward to start a truly exciting chapter in my professional life, which will be announced soon.”
