New electrolyzer turns plastic-waste syngas into ethylene with less energy

For each lots of ethylene produced, one lots of co2 is created. With greater than 300 million lots of ethylene created every year, the manufacturing system has a massive carbon impact that researchers and designers aspire to minimize and at some point remove. A brand-new tool established in Ted Sargent’s laboratory at Northwestern takes an action towards damaging that cycle.
