Organic molecule stores renewable energy with record stability, paving the way for better flow batteries

What happens if the power generated by wind generators on a gorgeous summer season day could be saved up until January to warm homes in the dead of winter months? It could be feasible, many thanks to the exploration of a brand-new natural particle that can hold a fee for months with practically no loss of power. Called AzoBiPy, the particle was created by a study group in the Division of Chemistry at Université de Montréal in partnership with Concordia College scientists. Their outcomes were released in the Journal of the American Chemical Culture.
