Record setting dredging season comes to an end

The Dredge Potter team ended up an unmatched 2022-23 period on February 1, 2023, that called for incredible synergy to keep the congressionally mandated nine-foot-deep, 300-foot-wide navigating network and get rid of the obstacles from the extensive dry spell, and extended severe low tide that impacted the Mississippi River container.

Digging up procedures relocated 9 million cubic lawns of product, at 70 various areas along 300 miles of the St. Louis Area. In overall, 7 digging up systems– dustpan, cutterhead and mechanical– were functioning throughout the St. Louis District location of obligation. 2 various other systems, for a total amount of 9, sustained Mississippi Valley Department initiatives on the Mississippi River.
