Maria Elena Giannaccini has a level in Biomedical Design from the Università di Pisa in Italy. She performed her Master’s thesis at Scuola Superiore Sant’ Anna as component of the EU-funded OCTOPUS job. In 2015, she got her PhD in Robotics at the Bristol Robotics, where she concentrated on establishing secure, variable tightness robot gadgets. She operated at the College of Bristol on the soft, bioinspired Tactip sensing unit and a soft robotics fabricated throat. In 2019, Elena was selected as a Speaker in Robotics at the College of Aberdeen where she originated study in soft robotics.
