SASMOS HET Technologies and The ePlane Company Sign MOU for e200X eVTOL Systems

SASMOS HET Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The ePlane Company (Ubifly Technologies Private Limited) to support Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) development for the e200X electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

The agreement was announced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026. Under the MOU, SASMOS will provide EWIS engineering and industrialisation expertise for the programme. The collaboration covers harness architecture, design for manufacturability, prototype evaluation and certification readiness.

The collaboration also establishes a framework to explore broader value-chain opportunities across mission-critical electrical and interconnect systems, supporting the programme’s evolution from development through industrialisation and serial production Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems form the critical electrical network of an aircraft, distributing power and data between propulsion, avionics, flight controls and other onboard systems.

The companies also intend to explore broader opportunities across electrical and interconnect systems as the e200X moves from development toward industrialisation and potential serial production. For electric aircraft, optimised EWIS architecture plays a vital role in reducing weight, improving reliability and supporting certification.

The e200X is being developed by The ePlane Company as a modular platform intended for passenger transport, air ambulance and cargo operations. The partnership forms part of the company’s effort to build a supplier base covering electrical systems, avionics, composites, fasteners and interiors.

Chandrashekar H.G., Chairman and Managing Director of SASMOS HET Technologies, said the company looks forward to contributing its EWIS expertise to advance the aircraft toward certification. Professor Satya Chakravarthy, Founder and CTO of The ePlane Company, noted that selecting specialised technology partners is important for developing a certifiable aircraft and that SASMOS strengthens the programme’s electrical systems capability.

SASMOS HET Technologies supplies EWIS, wiring harnesses, cable assemblies and related solutions for aerospace, defence, space and other sectors. The company provides engineering, design, manufacturing, testing and industrialisation services from its base in India.
