Satellite monitors offshore gas flaring in South China Sea

A research study released in the International Journal of Digital Planet provides an unique application of the Sustainable Advancement Scientific Research Satellite-1 (SDGSAT-1) for observing overseas oil and gas systems. Scientists from the Aerospace Info Research Study Institute (AIR) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences leveraged the sophisticated abilities of SDGSAT-1’s Twinkle Imager (GLI) and Thermal Infrared Spectrometer (TIS) to keep an eye on gas flaring tasks in the South China Sea.
