Self-morphing, wing-like feet enhance surface maneuverability of water striders and robots

A collective group of scientists from the College of The Golden State, Berkeley, the Georgia Institute of Modern Technology, and Ajou College in South Korea has actually exposed that the special fan-like props of Rhagovelia water striders– which permit them to move throughout fast-moving streams– open and close passively, like a paintbrush, 10 times faster than the blink of an eye.
