Italy-based, UrbanV, a vertiport infrastructure developer and Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) services, and Speedbird Aero, a drone logistics solutions company, recently announced a partnership to advance development of IAM in Italy, reports a press release.
This collaboration will unite UrbanV’s experience of innovative aerial services with Speedbird Aero’s advanced drone technologies, to create an integrated ecosystem for advancing IAM and cargo drone services.
The release says, “The two companies aim to drive the expansion of networks specifically optimised for drone delivery and services allowing faster, greener and more accessible aerial transport solutions.”
Carlo Tursi, CEO of UrbanV, commented, “This partnership represents a significant step forward in bringing cutting-edge aerial services and drone delivery solutions to Italy. : Joint Operational Hubs — integrating drone logistics operations into UrbanV’s existing and upcoming facilities.
: Pilot Projects Across Regions — launching pilot programs in Italy to showcase scalable urban drone delivery solutions and intermodal air mobility networks.
: Advanced Technology Integration — embedding Speedbird Aero’s automatic flight platforms within UrbanV’s digital vertiport ecosystem for real-time coordination, tracking, and fleet management.
: Commitment to Sustainability — promoting carbon-neutral logistics and transportation through the use of electric, zero-emission aerial vehicles and optimised, eco-friendly route planning.

The first operational pilot programs under this partnership are to launch this year, with an initial site currently under evaluation in Italy.
