WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2024— The United State Fda (FDA) and the U.S Division of Farming (USDA) today are revealing a joint Request for Information (RFI) about food date labeling, that includes the use of terms such as “Market By,” “Usage By” and “Ideal By.” The RFI inquires on sector techniques and choices for day labeling, study results on customer understandings of day labeling, and any type of influence day labeling might carry food waste and grocery store expenses.
