South African iron-ore miner Kumba Iron Ore videotaped a 3% year-on-year decline in result to 9.4-million tonnes for the 3rd quarter finished September 30, as derailments, rail damages and speed up constraints on State-owned Transnet’s railway led to an 8% year-on-year decline in ore railroaded to port, at 9.1-million tonnes. Compared to the 2nd quarter of this year, which was influenced by a five-day mini-shut in April, ore railroaded to port boosted by 5%.
